An abandoned ship floats at rest in the icy waters below the Moscow docks. The lonely idle ship is an ominous sight to passing strangers. It towers above the shadowy Moscow River, a silent cathedral against the cold wind. Chained hanging wooden lifeboats sway along the side decks. Layers of snow and ice have covered the top decks, and frozen weaponry points to the sky.
There were once plans to fully restore it and convert the interior into a museum; however, this is on hold at the moment. Most of the equipment inside was dismantled when the crew abandoned it.
Oddly enough, the lost ship is named “Druzhny†which means “Friendly.â€
